The NC Society of Clinical Hypnosis is hosting its 2025 Annual Conference, titled "Into the Mystical: Creating Psychedelic-Like Experience Utilizing Hypnosis," on February 8-9, 2025. The conference features leading experts in the field, including Dr. Cameron Alldredge, Dr. David Patterson, Dr. Randy Buzan, and Dr. Ciara Christensen, who will present on different aspects of hypnosis and applications in these areas.
Day one will cover topics such as using hypnosis to occasion mystical experiences and the unconscious, with practical breakout sessions for participants. Day two will allow participants to explore how psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy (PAP) can inform our use of hypnosis and how hypnosis can be used in the preparation and integration phases of PAP. The science behind PAP and possible overlap between psychedelic and hypnotic Non-Ordinary States of Consciousness (NOSC) experiences will also be discussed.
The event will conclude with a panel discussion, allowing attendees to engage with the presenters and exchange ideas about the future of hypnosis in these powerful and transformational therapeutic contexts.
